Here’s why this season is a time to rest

Hey Queen,

Do you ever wish you could decide when to take time off from work without anyone’s permission?

This past month I had a week’s vacation scheduled in my calendar. I had already decided this would be my “no laptop, no internet” type of vacation, and I was really looking forward to it.

But a month ahead of time I could feel my body was exhausted. I pushed through anyway because I knew I would be rewarded soon.

Guess what?!

I got sick, TWICE in a matter of two weeks.
My body had its very own plan, and it was time to rest.

Well, I got on the plane anyway, with Advils, a mask, and a lot of water – but I got the message loud and clear – it was time to prioritize rest.

I’m embarrassed to admit this, but ever since I started working for myself, every single year, I get super, super close to burnout.

Too close.

And this time when I got sick (I even got an eye infection) I understood something had to change. I realized I had to make a MAJOR change or I would be crashing and burning fast and very soon.

So I chose to rest
I decided that as of NOW, rest is a priority in my life, not a privilege.

I mean, I teach it to my clients all of the time.
Self-care is a priority – but I was letting myself slip into bad ‘status quo’ habits.

You know how it goes.
We want to make a healthy change, but it’s hard.

And if you know me, you know that walking my talk is very important to me and the mymaptohappiness brand.

So here it is.
This winter season we are prioritizing rest.
Yes, you and I, if you choose to join me.

We are going to choose REST.
But wait, rest doesn’t mean we’re doing nothing.
Rest means we’re taking more time to go within, to reflect on what we truly desire.
It means we are going to relax in the being instead of the doing.

This season, as we rest, we will also choose to participate in activities that help us tap into our parasympathetic nervous system so we can lower our stress and HEAL.

For the next 3 months, I’m inviting you to join me so you can figure out what your heart truly desires to do, gently.

Not sure how to do that?
As always, I have the solution for you.

I’ve opened up my schedule for new clients who want to dive in and do the work. These spots are for clients who know that NOW is the time to figure stuff out!

It’s for you if you no longer want to feel burnt out, stressed out, anxious, and unhappy at work; and you definitely don’t want to step into 2026 still disappointed with your career.

And, it’s possible.

It’s possible to feel fulfilled at work and to find meaning in your day-to-day activities. But you have to start now.

If you start now, you could be ready to “spring” into action when the weather gets warmer, and feel excited and energized to go to work by the end of 2025.

Imagine that.

By setting some time aside to rest and reflect during the cold season you could be on your way to your dream career before the end of the new year.

It doesn’t take as long as you imagine.

And, if last year you were also thinking about making a change in your career – and you’re still exactly where you were last year.

It’s time to create some real magic in your life.
Get on my calendar so we can get started right away.

It’s possible to wake up to a career you love where you feel fulfilled if you choose to commit to this change now, not next year.

I’d love to be your sidekick and cheerleader on this journey, especially this year, because it will be EPIC.
