Have you ever felt like you stand out in a group?
You feel different, you don’t laugh at the same jokes; you wish conversation topics had more depth than small talk; and, you often feel an urge to share your opinion, your real opinion, but you worry you might offend, so you keep quiet.
You’ve played along with this way of being for most of your life.
But, you’re tired of faking it, you’re ready to share the REAL you.
But wait, you’re not even sure who that is!
I want to introduce you to someone who’s not afraid to shine, and trust herself in the process, the author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. If you don’t know this Nigerian author yet, it’s time to pick up one of her books and dive into her raw, truthful storytelling. The passion she exerts for her writing is palpable, and she doesn’t apologize for being herself and embracing a style of writing that is unique to her personality and worldview.
I had the privilege of seeing her live in 2018, Switzerland. When she discussed her early beginnings as a writer, she learned not to take editors’ rejections personally. She shared that when you’re rejected it’s either because you’re not good at what you do, or it’s not the right fit.
I’d like to invite you to approach anything you seek in life, whether it’s your dream career, life goals, or a personal project, in the same way.
When an opportunity doesn’t pan out, there’s something better out there waiting for you – keep seeking.
Trust that when you follow your heart – you are following the path to allow your authentic self to shine through. Trust yourself and your authenticity – to open the doors that are meant to be open for you, no matter what. Trust you’ll be GREAT at whatever it is you desire to do.
And, when you feel rejected, remember it’s just part of the journey, but it doesn’t define you or your abilities.
Are you ready to embrace your uniqueness so you can finally step into living a life you love waking up to? If you said yes, contact me and let’s get you on my schedule.
Inspiring YOU to Live a Life you LOVE!
Because your HEART is waiting.
Priscilla
