I’m talking about that funny feeling of complete escape and happiness.
The butterflies that make your whole body come alive.
The last two times I can remember when I distinctly felt butterflies was when I got initiated into my 200-hours yoga teacher training course, and when I would offer my workshop Define YOU, Define YOUR Purpose.
Everything felt in perfect alignment, Mind, Body, and Soul in perfect sync.
I experienced those butterflies as a sign that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. A clear YES that whatever was happening in that moment was aligned with whatever I was supposed to be doing on this planet.
When we decide to pursue the path of discovering the Dream Career a.k.a. our Purpose, it’s important to start paying close attention to the subtle messages we receive from our bodies.
In my opinion, our bodies know best.
And I’m not talking about your body’s kneejerk reactions – I’m talking about the subtle go for it nudges and don’t do it warnings that we tend to ignore.
The gut feelings.
So when I started spending more time with a “good acquaintance” who had reached out to me in July, I was already attuned with my body’s subtle ways of telling me yay, move forward, or nay, not a good option. And although I genuinely had no clue if this person, let’s call him Matthew, was simply hanging out as a friend or potential lover, I stayed connected to the guiding force within that was telling me to stay the course.
I had decided to trust the Universe and in return the Universe was creating a flow that I had never experienced before in my dating life.
Now what does this have to do with life and finding your purpose?
- How to find the dream career is not the question you need to be asking yourself, the question needs to be WHAT. What do you really want to do? At the beginning of 2020, after some deep reflection, I finally wrote down what I really wanted to find in a partner. I kid you not, Matthew is in alignment with that list (I cross-checked it more than once).
- In life when we make choices around the ideal career, there’s no absolute certainty that the path we have chosen is the right one. We can only trust our inner guide and surrender to what is so we can be present to the full experience. I don’t know if my budding romance with Matthew will evolve into the long-term relationship that I want. All I know is that every moment I spend with him feels perfect and I’m happy.
So, here’s to listening to YOUR heart, where the shift starts when you decide to commit to your transformation.
I’d like to invite you to commit to your self-discovery journey. You can start today by making a conscious decision to discover what your heart truly desires by the end of 2020. You don’t have to know how to achieve it. You just have to be willing to take the first step.
Inspiring YOU to Live a Life YOU Love,
