Soak yourself in daily self-care practices that make you feel so good, you will have no problem saying NO next time someone asks you to do something that doesn’t feel right in your body.
SAY YES FIRST
Practice saying YES to the things you really want, so it becomes easier to identify and say NO to the things you don’t want.
PRACTICE
Practice different ways to support you in saying NO. You can start by saying, “let me think about it” – “I need some time to make sure this is something I really want to do” – (make sure to circle back with your empowered no) – “This time it’s a NO” – etc.
BONUS – JUST SAY NO
It’s more annoying to hear a fake YES instead of a NO. Remember you are dealing with adults who can, hopefully, manage their emotions and disappointments.
